Books, different sizes, 2011 - 2020
Holidays is a series of 44 print on demand photo books published between 2011 and 2020. Each book was created right after something big happened in the world, like a large political protest or a devastating natural disaster, that was in the news.
The photos inside the books are sourced from people’s holiday photo albums publicly posted on Facebook at the same location of the events. The holiday pictures were then photographed one by one directly from the computer screen, uploaded to an online photo book maker (CEWE FOTOBUCH) and designed into a photo book with the help of the online assistant.
By connecting big world stories with individual holidays the books show how interdependent the world has become.
